Dr. Ackerman-Le, DDS

Dr. Kristen Ackerman-Le spent her childhood in the small country of Nepal, where her family was involved in medical missions.  It was her experiences in helping people there that encouraged her to pursue her Doctorate in Dental Surgery.  She completed her Bachelor of Arts in Chemistry at A&M University in College Station, TX, spending her free time volunteering with outreaches to international students and playing flute in the Texas A&M orchestra.  Her desire to pursue dentistry only grew after multiple mission trips to Guatemala, Jamaica, and China that allowed her to meet and work with passionate healthcare providers around the world. She moved to Mechanicsburg, PA in order to be closer to family and the farmland that she missed from her childhood.

Education

Dr. Ackerman-Le completed her Doctorate of Dental Surgery at UT Houston School of Dentistry in Houston, TX in 2018. Over the years, she has received her nitrous oxide, laser, and oral sedation certification. She thoroughly enjoys taking courses and learning new skills to provide her patient with the best care.

Professional

Dr. Ackerman-Le has extensive experience with both kids and adults. She prides herself in being very gentle, and always takes time to prioritize her patients’ desires and goals. Her favorite part of the day is seeing a patient’s new smile after treatment. She loves volunteering at different community events to help people who don’t have access to dental care, a dream she’s had since she was young.

Personal

Dr. Ackerman-Le has two little girls, ages 2 and 4, who keep her on her toes!  She enjoys hiking and baking with her kids, though it can get a bit messy sometimes. She loves country and swing dancing with her husband whenever they get a free evening. Also, now that they live in PA, her house is full of cousins, uncles and aunts on a regular basis!
