Our patient services team members are with patients from the time the dentist determines their treatment options to the time they are going over cost and insurance details.

The Clinical Team

Our Extended Function Dental Assistants are some of the most highly trained individuals in the field. This clinical team with our doctors at Verber Dental East work together to provide unmatched care in the Harrisburg area. As specialists, they are able to focus on delivering optimal dentistry with attention to detail. Our in-house laboratory gives Verber Dental the ability and flexibility to develop many of our dental cases on the premises with customized attention to detail.

An Expanded Functions Dental Assistant (EFDA) is a certified dental assistant who has acquired additional schooling and training in order to obtain the skills and licensure that allows them to perform some procedures that you might usually associate with ones that your dentist used to do.

Because of their specialized training, EFDAs can perform the following additional procedures such as:

  • Place fillings
  • Perform polishing
  • Apply fluoride treatments
  • Place tooth sealants
